Sapele Lumber
Sapele is an African tree that so closely resembles mahogany, that it is often referred to Sapele mahogany, but is not a true mahogany. Sapele has a dark red/brown colour, and is typically a face and better grade (5.5” wide and wider, minimal knots, and minimal sapwood on the face). It usually has very few knots and a fine, wavy grain.
