Eastern White Pine Lumber
Pine is the most common and widely known and used lumber. Eastern White Pine has a nearly all white sapwood with a darker red or brown heartwood. Pine comes width sorted 6” to 12” wide, and often random length, 6’-16’ long, although length sorted may be available in 4/4. Grades range from 1&2 Common (bigger and solid knots), 1 Common (smaller and sound, tight knots), and C & Better (minimal knots). Pine is used for almost all aspects of woodworking including furniture, shiplap, trim and molding, construction, and turnings.
