Basswood Lumber
Basswood sapwood is white to light brown, and the heartwood is hard to determine as it is similar in colour. It typically comes in a face and better grade (5.5” wide and wider, minimal knots, and minimal sapwood on the face) and has very little to no knots on the face. Basswood is possibly one of the best options for wood turnings due to its softness and could be another option to poplar.
