When to Use Black Melamine Edgebanding
Black melamine edgebanding is affordable while providing a smooth, consistent surface. Melamine edgebanding is a great choice when cost is a primary.
For a similar finish in wider range of colour options, browse our selection of PVC edgebanding. For woodworking projects that require a natural woodgrain, consider veneer edgebanding.

Iron-on Method
Requires only a standard household iron.
- Place the edgebanding on the edge to be covered.
- Apply heat with the iron, moving along the edge with a consistent, moderate pressure.
- Immediately after heating a section, press the edgebanding firmly onto the workpiece using a wood block or roller to ensure a strong bond.
- Allow to cool completely, then trim excess edgebanding with a utility knife or dedicated edgebanding trimmer.
