
Oak, White: Quarter Cut
Heartwood is pale yellow-brown, showing a “flake” figure on the quartered surface. This is a result of cutting through the board parallel to the medullary rays, generally producing larger flake than in red oak.
Machinability: Machines well. It must be pre-drilled before screwing.
Density: Specific gravity of .76
Thickness: 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 8/4
