Maple, Hard: White

Creamy white sapwood. Generally straight grained with a slight “cathedral” look. It has a fine, even texture.

Machinability: Machines reasonably well, with the exception of when wavy grain is present.  Its density necessitates pre-drilling for screws.  It can be stained and polished satisfactorily.

Density: Specific gravity of .72

Thickness: 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 8/4, 10/4

Grades: FBTR, 1 Com.
